Hey, I bought my Z with aftermarket door handles, do the factory aluminum ones have a place to put a key in and unlock the doors?

It took a while but about three months after I got it I found out that it is also fun to drive under 80mph. Who would have thought?

just found out the rear view mirror can also go down a bit, than the comventional mirror that only turns around at the same point.

i was always wondering why the mirror was so high up!, now i know, i was just being stupid. nothing wrong with that mirror!

Safety issues. My BMW was the same way. Key to roll up.. key fob to roll down..

Also. they have window switches to where you have to pull up on them to roll the window up so no one accidentally presses it ansd rolls it up on some little kid...

..It's happened

I assumed it was for safety, but damn... it just bites! I guess we are better off without it if it should save some poor kid from brain damage for lack of oxygen if it were to choke him/her. I could always buy my own relay!

I don't know if someone mentioned it already, but you can flip your rearview mirror 180 degrees around so that the buttons are on top. Takes a little coaxing, but it works. This gives you better visibility out the front windshield.

That's why the convenience package, hanging on the head rest, has a cutout hole, so that you can still get to the extra handle.
Ohhhhh , that's what that thing is!!!!!!!!

Wow, I'm gonna try this right now. It's amazing how many tricks you can discover with "Press+Hold." I think I'll Press+Hold everything in life from now on, just to test it and see what kind of trick happens.

Is this true, it would make my life 100% better actually I'm gonna go check it out.

UPDATE: It worked!!! This was one of my major problems. I couldn't see more than 20 feet behind me (or if the car behind me had cop lights). Thanks to the guy who posted this one.

I realized how dissappointing the performance was. Test driving the car, I was actaully thinking: this is it? This is all it has? Read the forums a bit and I thought it fell back on my driving abilities and not ever driving a 'drive by wire' car. I honestly felt like the guy from Top Gear, in that, I don't doubt the car performs as claimed, but never feels like it could. I then came to the huge realization that turbos might resolve this- oh, man was I right. I guess I didn't realize the potential of this car (to put a positive spin on it)

Other things I noticed:
Z looks unfinished without a front lip
Z actual has a fair amount of wheel gap from the factory
cup holder is cheap
How light the hood was
How HARD it is to check the oil - nearly impossible

There's a company that make an add-on module that give you the ability to roll the windows up with the remote: http://www.kptechnologies.net
They actually make quite a few neat modules for the Z/G35. There is currently a Group Buy going on our sister board G35Driver.com for all of the KPTech modules:

One of the guys in the local Z club turned me on to AutoX too. What a blast!!! After a year of it, I've improved to the point where I'm actually taking 1st place in BS most of the time.

I highly recommend it to anybody who want to have a kick-*** time in their Z.

The only thing i realized after getting my Z is that everyone likes riding your *** cause they think their F-150s and astro vans can beat you. Kids are jelous of your car and throw rocks at them. And everyone seems to get outa your way at a stop light. And every kind of ricer in a honda civic revs their motor at you like a freeking moron.

I know right??!! This happened to me the other day. This piece of $hit civic with grey primer and black doughnut wheels revs up at a stop light and gives me this wierd look. I was like you got to be kidding me. I just shook my head and shifted normal.
