2005 Enthusiast (Fairlady). When you forget to switch off the headlights, there is a continuous alarm sound when you turn the key to shut off the engine. The key can't even be pulled out until you switch off the lights. This feature saved me, twice.

I realized the paint is cheap, I should have bought an 07-08 originally and that somone before me had replace the clutch and front bumper. I wish I would have know what to look for a little harder, but now I know.
Next step sell the 04' convertible and buy an 07-08 hardtop... and drift it... a lot

One simple thing that I love that I just found out is that the one gauge can be set to show your speed. I always drive with one hand and can't see the speedo. My previous cars I would always have my gps on the large speedo setting. Needless to say that gauge has saved me from multiple photo radar tickets

Found out the reason my power seats didnt work was because of MAKE UP POWDER making the contact on the switch dirty.
Also found out my crossmember, and front lower control arm were bent and needed replacement. apparently this **** could not drive (much less take care of a car) and hopped a curb or something Im guessing.
Best part is the guy who sold it to me owned a shop, so im assuming he fixed whatever other damage was done during this accident on his own. because the carfax was totally clear. Where the LCA mounts to the crossmember, you can tell he just beat it as straight as he could with a hammer to get it to fit -_-

Apparently in my Z's past the driver ran over something huge. Bending the front LCA bracket/Kmember and leaving a dented section the whole length of the car, including the W brace. Not bent bad enough to mess up alignment, but bad enough to make installing whiteline LCA bushing a bloody F'in nightmare. The front bumper was resprayed without taking the front license plate off and the painter must have used dollar store paint and no prep what so ever...

When you want to have a long hood and a mid mounted engine, you push the seats back. with a conventional dash that is long, you can only push the seats so far back. Nissan made the choice to shrink the dashboard so that they don't have to push the seats too far back. This gives your car better styling and weight distribution. The dashboard is much smaller than it is in other cars. The area where your glove compartment would be doesn't exist, it's all piping and wiring, there is no wasted space in this car.

What my dealer hid from me:
- The safety testing was done by their 'back door' guy and they gave the car back to me with a completely gone brake pad with a replacement indicator going off every time I break.
- I was testing driving it in a snowfall and thought the streaks on the windshield were from the cheap dealers wipers....turned out it was scratches from a rock being logged under the wipers from the previous owner.
- There is a rip in the carpet under the driver side mat that leads to exposed wires
Things I found out that I didn't know I would receive/or the car had:
- Auto dimming mirror
- Washer fluid squirts from the wipers ( I don't know... that's pretty cool to me)
- Cup holders glow
- There is an unnecessary business card holder
- The paint on the cubby hole door chips when it's bored
- You can turn the traction control off (boss)
- There is no clock on the triple gauge cus the car is from America
- The seat goes down....but like an inch...lol
Anyways, just little things here and there. Mostly good and interesting, especially having come from an RSX.

Well I was surprised and pleased to find the passenger ejection seat on the convertibles, great idea, comes in handy on a date gone bad, she gets an attitude, booom, twenty feet in the air while I drive away. lol
I researched so hard when buying the car there is nothing that surprises me about it.
