Angry Color mismatch starting to drive me crazy!!!!

OK guys, at first I didn't even notice it, I then noticed it but didn't let it bother me. Now it's staring at me everyday and getting on my nerves. My color mismatch on my Z is terrible. I used to think it was the angle of the sun but today in Maryland it was a rainy day and it looked even worse. I know it's because the lower panels are made of plastic and the paint takes differently but I really think mine is a lot worse than most. I know I'm not the only one with this problem. Orange Peel..No problem, but I definatly didn't order a two-toned colored Z. I'm contemplating going to the dealer to complain. I'm usually not a sqeaky wheel but I think I have a point on this one. Tell me it isn't that bad....

man, I used to think that the color mismatch was just the angle of the sun, but your pic makes me wonder.

Take it to the dealer and complain loudly!

Definitely go to the dealer. Also, call NNA and tell them. Nissan and their paint inspectors are claiming that the color mismatch is common, just like the orange peel. You know, "Well, if you look at some other cars you will see the same thing." And thus not their issue.

That pic makes it look like nissan meshed silverstone and chrome silver into one.

Can you post another pic without the sun?

The picture does make it look 2-tone. The mud guard also looks to be off in color, which makes me think it is the lighting. If the colors look like that in person I would bring it to your dealers attention.

This is the only one I have in a little shade. As you can see the panel beneath the door is totally a different color. Also the rear bumper leading up to the hatch is the same and of course the fuel door. I've made up my mind to go to the dealer. These colors are just too far off.

Default wow !!!!!!!!!!!

That is really bad from the look in the picture.

Time to SQUEEEEEEEEEEK ... something is definitely wrong.

Hard to believe that one got out the factory door - unless the color changed in transit.

In your last picture, it also looks like the splash guards match the plastic along the bottom of the car.

Definitely complain to someone, I'd be pissed if my new car looked like that.

Hey jrreed350togo,

That's a terrible mismatch. If it urrqs you that much I would take it back.

On a side note. What kind of rims are those? Those are friggin sweet!

t6hats horrible, Id take that back in a second, a slight difference can be accepted I suppose, but what I see in those pictures is 2 different colors. perhaps you just got like a bad batch of paint or something and it slipped through.

Cool! two-tone.

That's pretty obvious mismatch from those pictures.

Looks like they put the chrome trim on your SS car...

I've seen all of the colors close up, but have only heard that Daytona Blue's paint process is being corrected. I seriously doubt there is a paint mismatch on most of the colors considering they have been using the EXACT same paint codes on their other cars for a while now.

In pictures it is going to look worse than it really is. And no dealer is going to do squat for you, because when you got the car you had a chance to look it over. It isn't like they were trying to conceal it from you.

Go to the dealer and *****. Even if they don't do anything for you, it's worth a shot. Call NNA, as was suggested above.

I also have a SS, so I'll definitely keep an eye on mine as well.

Sorry to hear about that happening to you.

It really looks like they just put a cs sideskirt on your ss car.... maybe they can just repaint the skirts and it would look better...?
