Default i cant drive over 65 mph!!!!!!

this is just rediculous. my dad just informed me that he installed some kind of GPS in my car and i cant go past 65mph. he said that if i do it will page him or something like that. what is the point of having a Z if u can only go 65. i am going to see if i can go to a mechanic and get it taken off. the only problem is finding it. anybody know where these things are usually installed on the car?

Not trying to flame but, you dont have to speed if you have a Z, he probably had a good reason to scare you or do it. Maybe you drive recklessly?

I've read stories about these things. They're real.

yep, he's probably for real. some car rental companies use the same technology to penalize people who "speed excessively."

Yeah, if your dad paid for the car and the insurance then its his car (kinda like while your living under my roof......)

If he doesn't then that is some pretty strict parenting!

65 is kind of slow though. Here around Dallas/Fort Worth if you drove 65mph in a 65mph zone you would be rear ended. The average speed around here is like 75, fast lane is around 80.

I would look right on your OBD II port under your dash. Look for anything connected.
