The weather was warm again today so I decided to take the Z out for the last romp before storage. I drove the car to downtown, then took a curving river road home.

While in downtown, I got the last compliment of the year until Spring. I was at a busy and popular downtown intersection. People where crossing and staring at the car. And this one guy pushing a baby carriage walking beside his wife yells to me in the Z, "Give me your car! No, seriously, I want it!" His wife laughed and everyone crossing the walkway smiled. I gave the Z some revs to show my appreciation and he gave me the thumbs up.

I love this car and I love this colour that I choose. No regrets, it's an attention grabber. Until next spring, my Fairlady Z...

Yeah, when I first told my friend that I was going to get Lemans Sunset, he tried to talk me out of it, saying I should get a more safe colour. But that's not my personailty. I need to stand out and be disctint, there are too many of the safe colour out there already.

So when I pulled up and he saw the colour in person, all he could talk about was getting the same car with the same colour. And the first time I took him for a spin downtown with the window down, he loved all the stares and compliments too.

I'm glad I listened to my instinct instead of what others say when it comes to choosing a colour.

 

The Lemans Sunset is a very unique color that I think matches the Z perfectly. Great choice BTW, did you ever get those headers installed on your car?

 

Heya, Thank you for the complment. I haven't installed the headers yet, I will probably do that in the spring, hoping to save money in the winter time for the header job(I did installed high flow cats though). I can't wait until it goes on so I can complete my exhaust. I think after that, a plenum will complete the intake system and then I can concentrate on a body kit Lip and side skirt only. I think putting on a spoiler will ruin the lines of my Z.

 

Put my ZR in my garage for storage 3 weeks ago. It will not be driven for 17 months,

I had a similar expirience this week.....

I was driving down my mom`s street (east end) and this group of kids (13-16) Started yelling at me ''Nice car mister'' it sorta looked like that commericial for the chev charger!!
By the way O connors was intence last night!!! Wow so many girlies!!!!

Good experience! I got my first "nice car" comment from a woman riding shotgun in her boyfriends truck as they pulled up along side of me at a light. Made my day.

 

I was going to get LeMans Sunset, they didnt have it so I choose my second favorite PPW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Hehe, i had the choice of all the colors of except liquid silver, and wham, i took the daytona blue, i saw the lemans sunset the dealer had being driven by someone else like 3 weeks later, and was proud of my choice.
