I finally received my car cover from carcoverguys that cost nearly $170 for custom fit Noah from Wolf cover. Here is my question. Is it customize for your antenna as well? With mine, I got to either unscrew the antenna or make a hole for it instead of coveing the whole antenna as well as the car. My roommate has S2000 and his cover is made to cover the antenna as well.

 

Umm, if you paid that much, why didn't you just get the OEM cover? It's perfectly fitted, better Weathersheild material, has an antenna pocket, clear rear licence plate window, heat shielded patches over tail pipes and Nissan and Z logos silkscreened on it for $185. Sounds like you got ripped off.

 

Would you consider sending the cover back for a refund? Then spending an additional $30 for the Nissan cover?

 

mine cover is not made by nissan but is specific for the z coupe, i forget where i got it, it was like $100 and came with a lock and has an antenna pocket like pictured above.

 

Well my car would be parked outside and I didn't want to draw attention by having Z on the cover. I had bad experiece on theft on previous vehicle. Also I wanted a Noah material. What kind of material do they use for Nissan cover?

I wanted to get noah material with the cover for antenna. If the Nissan cover is made from noah then I'm willing to pay more for it.

 

I don't know what “Noah material” is? Isn't it a brand name like Gortex?

 

The Nissan cover is made of Weathershield material; it's higher up on the quality list of cover materials than Noah. I've owned covers of each material and I far prefer the Weathershield. It is very lightweight, folds very compact, is much more water resistant and keeps the car cleaner. Noah covers I've had before are bulky, get waterlogged and leave residue on the car after a rain; no such problems (or at least MUCH less) with the weatehrshield. I haven't had a Weathersheild for a long time yet, but Noah starts to break down after a couple years, leaving massive amounts of fiber dust on the car before it starts to develop holes. You can get aftermarket covers made of Weatehrsheild as well if it really bothers you having the logos on it. The only thing about the Noah that's kind of nice is that it has some thikness and weight behind it, so it MIGHT protect against small hail or very light dings, but IMO the advantages of the Weatehrshield are much greater.
