Not sure which model I have
Just got my Z and I'm LOVING IT!
However, I'm confused as to what model I have.
I have Burnt Orange Leather seats, Bose premium sound system, and HID's.
I don't have Traction control and Cruise control.. atleast I can't find either..
I thought base came with CLOTH Seats no HIDS and no BOSE?
How do I tell if I have LSD?
Thanks guys!
PS How can I tell if my car's received all it's fixes? can I just bring it in to Nissan and have them look it up? It's only got 30k miles on it.. so it should still have drivetrain warranty..

I think you have a touring, I can see somebody putting leather seats and HID's in a base Z, but nobody would spend $$$ on the Blows stereo. Cruise control is on the steering wheel to the right of the horn. And your VDC button is on the left side of the steering wheel on the dash above your gas button. As far as checking for a LSD, if you have anything above a base you would need to turn off VDC/TCS rev up in 1st and dump it. If you leave 2 streaks you have an LSD, if you peg leg'd it you have a base.
Edit-if your cupholder wont close most likely it wont fold back shut, so push up on the underside of where the base of the cup would sit and push in at the same time.

If you have Bose, leather, and HIDs, I would assume that you have atleast the Touring package. Do you have the buttons to the lower left of the steering wheel for the TCS, and VDC? Do you have the homelink/auto-dimming mirror and aluminum pedals? Also, check and see if you have the heated leather seats. And check your wheels. Are they 7 spokes or 6 spokes? If 6, you have a Touring.
The wheels are the 17's. The rearview is not the Homelink and the cruise control isnt there. Also, there looks like there would be two button spots to the left of the steering wheel where traction and vdc would be and they are not...

its not an enthusiest either...no homelink or tcs. Looks like you have a base that someone put leather/bose/and hids in. Are you sure that you have HIDs? And is there a bose sub behind the drivers seat (also look behind the plastic panel)?

"The 350Z is well-equipped with, Xenon headlights, drilled pedals and a limited-slip differential. Other amenities include a 240-watt Bose stereo, leather-appointed upholstery...
The 3.5Liter V6 DOHC SMPFI 24V engine develops around 287 horsepower and 274 pounds-feet of torque by using continuously variable valve timing control system technology and an electronically controlled throttle. Nissan claims the 350Z can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 6 seconds. This car featues a 6-speed MANUAL transmission.
The suspension system is independent all the way around, and the 17-inch alloy wheels surround strong antilock disc brakes and are wrapped with high performance BRIDGESTONE tires. Yet despite the Z's squat-down handling, it has a surprisingly supple ride that makes for comfortable long-distance cruising."

If ur steering wheel doesnt have any button on it then u got the base model regardless what the dealer said. The previous owner probably put in LSD and HID himself but the original base model does not come with LSD and traction control like my car.

I was just wondering which it would be.. doesn't really matter to me one way or another since it has all the options I cared about...
I still have every option I would want!
LSD, Xenons, Leather, 6 speed, and BOSE.. which by the way.. for the average person the Bose is not as bad as half you owners make it out to be! I like it.
