GL4 & GL5 ????
I am going to change the trans & diff oil for my Z... here is the conflict.. I am looking at M1 and Royal Purple.. they come with 75w90. according to the label this is good for diff and trans. Also it meets the require for gl4 and gl5. so can i use the same oil for diff and trans????????????????

no GL-5 in the transmission; GL-4 only.
GL-5 in the rear differential is ok.
check out the repair forum on this issue. there are numerous discussions on it.
i used the redline MT90 in the transmission and mobil1 gear lube in the differential.

As long as you can document that your choice of lube meets the API specs in the owner's manual (GL-4 and GL-5, as specified for each application), they can't void your warranty.
If they require you to use their specific lube during the warranty period, they have to provide it free of charge- don't know about you, but my dealer didn't volunteer to do that...
