The airbags can go for sure if you have a 4 or 5 point harness and some good seats...

You could sell the airbags and pay for it all at the same time...

Does anyone know how much the headliner weighs? Mike (350ZNV), I assume that you must have taken yours out by now? I'm thinking of taking mine out simply because I'm too darn tall and hit my head on it with my helmet on with the stock seats. Of course, that will amplify noise...

I would have thought that the stock carpeting would have weighed as much as the sound deadener as well.

I just weighed the headliner at 4 lbs. That was without the visors and without the dome light. So maybe 5 - 6 lbs all together.

Wow, that's much lighter than I thought. I know some headliners weigh upwards of 20 pounds. Still, that's weight that's up high, so if you can remove that, that lowers the center of gravity of the car (always a good thing).

A lot of the things I pulled out of the Z were lighter than I thought. Sucks, but every little bit helps.

Yeah the Odyssey battery is cool. I plan on getting one of those now that my Optima sponsorship has expired.

I've had mine installed for a little over a week. So far, no issues. Works great.

Two points though: First, I had to fabricate a bracket to hold it in place, since the stock hold-down doesn't really work. Second, the stock negative battery cable wouldn't reach the terminal of the new battery (had to buy a longer one at Autozone).

Definitely something that you should look into, Mike, saves LOTS of weight. I'd be happy to show you how I did mine this weekend.

I already bought Rickdogg's old one a while back and it just got re-located to the right rear wheel well so I didn't have to deal with the stock brackets or terminals. See you this weekend.
