i think they do dna testing for a big case only, like murdering stuff. for a problem like this usually they only do a report.., then hide somewhere to trap us with speeding ticket. feel sad for you man .. next time hide your stuff like gryphin said.

No way, local PD is going to spend money on a DNA sample for a car break-in. The cops arent willing to do much in a case like this, theres to many to bother doing anything else then filing a report.
Hopefully the bastard cut himself real nice like

Yeah, the PD will not do a DNA test for this. First off, DNA cost alot of money and some departments will only spend it for serious crimes. Second, it takes months to get DNA results back (FBI or state labs) especially for your case since other serious cases will jump ahead of yours. Third, just because a DNA test is done will not mean an is arrest made since the suspect's DNA will have to be in the system.

It would be great to be able to do DNA test and get results on every case like on TV, but that's just hollywood.

The best thing to do is to don't leave anything visable. Sorry to hear that it happened but good luck in the future.

BullSH!T sorry for being so damn blunt for police are FUC*ING stupid. no offense to any of you officers. many of you know that my dad was shot and murdered. the police procrastinated on an investigation for my house and waited like 4 days to even go in and check stuff out. MY DAD WAS SHOT and they put other stuff first on thier list... so dont count on anything happening for a simple robbery... this was a STATE wide homicide case all over statewide local news (breaking news) and i believe that since they waited so long for an investigation my case was screwed over. RIP dad

unless it's big murder case. OR you can pay for your own DNA test but again, it cost money and not worth it. If the guy is clean and has no record, you can't trace it.

Hey man I know how you feel. I just got my car broken into today too. They broke my driver window and completly ripped out my whole center console. They left a bunch of pieces of it around but stole my $300 pioneer head unit and stole my book of 96 CDs that were all bought. They got glass everywhere and scratched up the seats. Atleast they didnt find my amp enclosed in the glovebox or take my stealthbox in the back. What really makes me mad was that they did it in my shcool parking lot and we have a parking lot attendant whose job is to sit in the parking lot all day and stop this from happening. They broke into this other kids car and jacked his radar and amp. We try to park near the back of the lot b/c if we park close the d*cks with the junk cars give you door dings. Guess you can't win

Sorry to hear what happen but that's my point. Don't expect DNA for a car break in.
