interesting article. from a roll the Z will usually edge out an s2000 with equally skilled drivers.

Its only an example how two companies use different means about making two cars of similar speed. a more brute force with nissan and a more techincal approach with honda.
Its not inteaded to be taken as fact on what car is better it just shows how torque, hp , work all come together in different ways to get the same job done.

example take a really strong guy and have him lift a heavy object with no aids he can do it but will do it slowly and will tired slowly as it take him little work
take a weak guy and have him use a pulley to help lift the same object he will be able to do it easily and quickly but will get tired quickly as he has to work harder pulling on the rope attached to the pulley and the object.
both get the job done the weak guy get the object moved faster but can only do it for a short time the strong guy can move the object slowly but for a longer period. it all works out the same in the end.
both get the job done just in different ways

Non of this properly makes sense its 2am here and I'am really tired

haha ok i think i get it now...i understood it in the first place but i was just looking at the bottom graph and it shows that the Sk2 would pull on a 350Z at top end.... and ive never seen a car that can take me on top end.... STi EVO SRT4 SK2 (obviously more expensive cars and such... 05/06 cars) im not saying the Z is ANYWHERE near the top of the line for speed... but i am saying that i am yet to be impressed by a car top end. (that i didn't think i would lose to in the first place)

that article isnt quite accurate as they have the s2k putting out its flywheel numbers while the z is putting out its rwhp numbers.

Because you mentioned that you raced a S2000. I do not have any idea what you drove.
