Thus far, Nissan service has been awesome. One pet peve of mine is NOT having them wash the car ever. Its alot harder than it sounds. They are happy to instal non OEM things...sure, LED sidemarkers arn't big, but hey, they did it and did a fantastic job. The car is always locked up in the garage, and not sitting out on the lot. Also, no one is up your *** the whole time.

well if you went with a "RETARDED BMW" you wouldn't need a engine replacement and they would give you a car while yours is being fixed.. in my opinion if it counts, BMWS ROCK! I would get a 330 if I didnt get a 350 :P

From the looks of it, it seems that BMW finally has stepped up to the plate to fix the motor from the factory as well as acknowledging that there was a problem.

My boss has leased an Audi for years. The current 1.8T engine apparently is notorious for ignition coil problems. He has had so many problems that there was a stretch last month that he did not have his car for weeks. It took him forever, but he said he's finally sick of it and he told them--- they said "they'd look into his case"- 2 wks later they said -- there's nothing they can do good luck with the sucky car. He's still driving it, no less!!! Unbelievable. ...pitiful customer service

Someone in my family owns a BMW, and the glass was banging against the inside of the door when you closed it...pretty badly. Took it in a paid to have it fixed...not fixed AT ALL. Brought it in for the regular service, told the tech this, stilll not fixed.
BMWs are fairly reliable and drive nicly, but thus far (knock on wood) Nissan service has been better.
