Question Anybody else's tires spinning on the 1>2 shift?

Not a "bark" or "chirp", but actually spinning for several revolutions. My rears used to "chirp" on the 1>2 under HARD acceleration a few thousand miles ago, but tonight I got the backend all squirrely when I hit the shift and it actually stepped out sideways just a bit. It's not too cold here and the roads are bone dry.

I was impressed.

all the time. if I dont let the revs drop and I just power shift, it will pull out to the side. of course VDC has to be off.

I never accelerate on the street without TCS on, and when I first got the car it almost never came on during the 1-2 shift. But now, with 7000 miles, it is very easy to activate TCS when accelerating quickly. Car must be loosening up a bit.

I thought I was crazy. In the past few weeks I thought I forgot how to shift. Mine does it quite a bit now, too. Feels like you are almost on ice when none is present. Tires are slipping alot and only 6,700 miles

I totally agree. I have 6,200 miles on my Z now, and I just started to notice that I am spinning the wheels a lot easier than before. I can definitely feel that my car is lossening up.

Same thing happening here. I was thinking it was the tires hardening up with the cold weather here, but it looks like some of you warm weather guys are experiencing the same thing. I'm really looking forward to replacing these RE040's.

I've got brand new S-03s and I'm breaking them loose. I think I just got some extra HP after 7K miles.

When I shift hard from 1st into 2nd I'm noticing my engine is cutting out. At first I thought it was the tires spinning but I think it's the enine shutting down?

Try turning off your TCS. It cuts engine power when the wheels spin.

Also check your pedal travel at max throttle. You might be hitting the end of travel when pushing hard on the throttle or if your pedal is bent it might be breaking contact with the potentiometer. This has happened on other 350s.
