Default Crashed and can't get replacement parts

I just wanted to vent and let off some steam. I slid on some black ice back in early December and crashed into the curb. I hit the curb hard enough to break the front drivers side axle and dent up the fender. My Z has been sitting at the shop for over a month and still no word from Nissan on when the parts will be available. The repair shop has about 2/3 of the parts but can’t do anything until they get all the parts. I’ve contacted NNA and they’re very slow to respond. I was at 1,100 miles and just looking forward to finally letting her loose. AAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear of your problems. That's really the pits. Hope you get those parts in soon so you can get back out there. Black ice can really slip up on you. Hang in there and keep us posted.

I just gotta tell you, Wayne, you are one positive sonofabitch. Every post is the same, positive. If I could "gift" you some points, I'd send you 10K just for being a good guy and counteracting the negative effects of ******** like me.

I finally got all the parts and should be back on the road again by late next week. It took 7 long weeks!!!!!!!! I finally got NNA to locate the last couple of parts and get them redirected to the repair shop.

Same thing with my car, and it has been about 5 weeks for my car and nothing yet ... right now, the dealer is saying 'you'll see the car sometime in March' which is unacceptable.

Can I get the number for NNA?

Thanks!

350Z in shop: 50 days, and counting.

I got rear-ended with 1100 miles on the car.

Every part for the car, except body parts, are on back-order. Even brakes.

Call 1-800-Nissan1 (647-7261)

What I did to expedite the situation was find out from the body shop what parts where needed and called NNA and got a parts coordinator to work on locating the various parts. NNA was able to locate the parts and get them redirected to the shop/dealer. Just be persistant and call them regularly (squeaky wheel gets the grease/parts), their customer service is very poor about returning phone calls.

People think think that waiting for a new to be delivered is bad, waiting for a car that you just got and wrecked and having to wait for it to be repaired and not knowing when your going to even get the parts is about a THOUSAND times worse.

Good Luck!!!!

anytime you buy a first year run of any car, parts are going to be difficult to get. i am in the collision repair industry and see it everytime a new body style comes out. if you dont like it you have two choices. wait for the second year run or be patient if your car gets wrecked.

AAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!! life is good again. Got my car back and put about 200 miles this weekend to give it a full test. Everything is perfect and just like I remembered. In fact it's faster because I just passed the break-in period and took it too it's limits. The power really kicks in after 4000rpm. I've got a drivers performance school at the end of March to help me improve and sharpen my drivers skill so that I can really handle this Z.

Default Congrats you are back on the road

That's great news! Now I can see how great another SB Track looks as it's driving down the road

My body shop finally received the right rear rail. It took approximately 54 days.

Can't you lemon the car after 30 days? I don't know if I can handle 2 months of downtime like that, especially paying payments and insurance. Now, I am devoted to my car, so I might feel differently if it were my car. I do feel your pain, but have you thought about the lemon law?

The right rear rail wasn't a detriment to the car actually running, so I don't think it would've been under the lemon law.

Can you find factual evidence on the 30 day lemon law? That means I could get a new car!
