No doubt about it, buying new would be a waste of your money...

And has a much better price to value ratio! I have never purchased a bran new car and I probably never will. Take my 03 track for example, it was 24k out the door with 26k miles on it and in excellent condition...

Just make sure you check it out real good so you don't get a lemon and you should be good to go!

Used '04 Track would be a good choice IMHO. Or, if you want a few luxuries Touring then mod the brakes etc... You might still get a factory warr this way so you can check out some of electrical etc... before you start modding.

Get a used 2004 in the spring with a max limit of about 25,000km to 30,000. that way you still have 6-8 months to do any TSB and warrenty stuff before it ends.

Do not get a 2003 unless you make sure the owner had all the TSBs done or the car was purchased in late 2003 so it still has some warrenty.

And do not get a new one unless you want to throw money away.

If I were leasing and not planning to mod at all, I would get a new one and drive the snot out of it, even in the winter. But I knew I was gonna mod the car, so I bought a 2003 about 6-8 months before the warrenty ended.

Good luck.

you can save money with used but i dont know how i feel about buying a used sport car.

people sell their cars for many reasons and one of then could be because they had a lot of problems, i feel like you have a bigger risk of having a lot of problems with a used car IMO

Buy a used that's still under warranty, preferably from a Nissan Dealer. remember you have a 60 month powertrain warranty. Brand new cars are a waste of money in depreciation. Example... My 03 Touring was 34k new. Now worth 22K with 26k miles after 3 years. That's 4k a year deperciation. Buy yourself a 2 year old low mile Z and keep 8k in your pocket.

i see your point, but buying used could also mean 8k in repairs if the cars has a lot of problems...

you may not have problems for a while but once someone abuses a engine the damage is done and abuse with cut down the life of the engine/powertrain

Their not all abused, you just need to shop around, ask the dealer to run the vin. number for any work thats been done, under warranty or not, it will show up no matter what dealer fixed it. Buy one from a woman if nothing else. If you buy a new one and start modding it, GOODBY WARRANTY.
