Default 06 Z Grand Touring Tires...

I was checking out my options for when I get new tires on my 06 GT. Options are extremely limited for the rear tires (265 35/19)

There are the same Bridgestones that come OEM (bleh) and Michelin Pilot Sport PS2. I have read many great things about the Michelins and have always loved them...I am just disappointed that I have so few options.

Anyone else notice this?

Just out of curiosity, how miles do you have on the tires?

lol, I said when I need to get new tires...I do not need new tires yet, they only have 1200 miles on them. And I do not plan to replace the OEM's until they wear out.

I was just wondering if anyone else had noticed that the rear 19's are an odd size. The only tires bridgestone actually shows on their site that are 265/35R19 are the Blizzacks.

LOL. I saw 2006 and was wondering were the hell have you been driving!

Compared to, say, 17 inches, 19 inches is not a popular tire. As manufactures move from 18 to 19 inch OEM wheels, I suspect tire manufactures will follow suit, and offer more choices.

Hmmm...maybe more will be out once the OEM's wear out or I get so sick of them that they have to go.

I do really like Michelins...but they are damn expensive.

Yeah, when I found that bridgestone only offered the blizzak LM winter tire in that size, I found it rather strange. Just do some 275s in the rear for minimal price increase and more tire options. I have an '06 track with the same wheels as the GT and will move to 275s when the time comes. I believe the rears are 19 x 10 and really should have come with 275s to begin with.

The stock bridgestones are RE050As which I think are quite good. Much better than the RE040s that other Zs are equipped with.

BTW, I mentioned the blizzak LMs in this thread https://my350z.com/forum/wheels-and-tires/143596-2006-rays-wheels.html but it didn't seem to bother anyone.

Thanks for the info, did not realize I could fit 275's on there.
