3YRS. and still getting compliments
Well my Z hit the 3yr. mark, purchased it back in Dec. 2002, and I still get compliments on the car. Everytime I finish washing or Zainoing the car I get all types of compliments ranging from young hot chicks to older M.I.L.F.'s to your average Joe, even peeps in Benz's and BMW's. I still love driving my Z. Just thought I'd share this with my fellow Z'sters.
Happy New YearZ!!!!
Happy New YearZ!!!!
You beat me to the punch!
My Brick turned "3" yesterday. 29,000 miles and it looks & performs as well as the day it arrived in my driveway. Nary a rattle or complaint.
Same on compliments from folks in all phases of the lifecycle. "Best" one was from a hot blond I met in the local market parking lot. She had a Z vert but obviously liked the Brick and started flirting. Young enough to be my daughter but I still got a kick out of it. (Alas, no story; I passed)

I haven't hit 3 years yet, but I will in another 2 1/2 months, and, like you, I still get a lot of compliments on mine! I get a lot of thumbs up on the freeway, and a lot of lookers in town!
I have a question for you all though. What do you say when somebody says "nice car!" to you? I usually just say 'thanks,' but I don't know if I come off as a d*** when I do. I don't mean to, but I don't know what else to say.

I don't think that way when I compliment others .... but, some do.

"How much were the wheels?"
"Is it fast?"
"Do you love it?? "
So I always respond with something as modest as I can pull out of my pocket, things are more comfortable that way. Answers like:
"Wheels were 2***, I'm near broke!"
"It's not that fast, can use a few more horses but it gets me where I want to go."
"It's great but can get impractical with the two seats."
Deep down inside I'm just thinking "I love this fuggin car!!!!"
i remember a popular auto magazine once put it this way regarding the Z....."you can easily pay twice as much for the same performance, but why?"
i've had mine since 3/03....i think i'm keeping this one for while.

Will be two years ownership on mine in about two or three months. Have not had as many compliments lately as when i first got it, but still plenty of looks as i pull up to a curb or pass some people on the sidewalk. Have noticed that i dont see as many Z's as i first did when i got mine ,but not complaining about that. Also not complaining about the young females that ive gotten "hey nice car" from.
