Another stupid dealer story...
So I'm on my way to the dealership to pick up my 06 taillghts
and my rearview mirror snaps off. Shocked the hell out of me. Anyways after I pickup my taillights
I walk over to the service department with my mirror. They take a look @ it and tell me to bring my car around. So I bring my car around and then it starts going downhill. The writer calls the assistant manager over explains the situation and they do some looking on the computer. Then they tell me I have no warranty and I'm like "why". They tell me all the modifications you have done. I was like I'm not asking you to cover anyhting I've messed with it's a rearview mirror. Tell me how I modified that. They just said were not covering it. I wasn't gonna stand there and agrue or get anymore into it so I just left.
It's to bad the parts department guys are so cool and the srvice people are so stupid.

Dealers are totally stupid mother f*ckers sometimes and some dealers are cool about it and some just are ******...
I suggest going to the dealer where to purchased your vehicle to service your car...
they usually kind of want and have to back the automobile they sold..
Common sense that is what is missing in this world. I mean they market the car as a sport car and then are surprised when some of us drive them agressively. I mean come on they even sell S and R-Tune stuff for our cars.
I can understand not covering something that was modded and caused a part of the the car to break. Or even drag / road race abuse. But, if something breaks while you are cruising down the street they should cover it if it came stock on the car.
Makes you not want to mod your car until the warrantee is done. Then you surely wouldn't take it back to the dealer cause their prices are too high.
If the dealers dropped there rate to a reasonable sum and then covered reasonable breakage. They would get a lot more business. Don't they understand that? The domestics are even worse.
Anyways, just go buy some mirror glue at Walmart for $1.87 and save yourself the hassle. It is a easy fit just follow the directions.

Probably not, Perf. Nissan would be the only place that can help me but since my car isn't physically there they can't do anything either. I already PM'd them. Why can't there be a Perf. Nissan of FL?
Makes me glad Perf. Nissan is only a 10 mins drive from my house lol. taking streets. Huntington Drive, nice =]
But, if its only a mirror, save yourself the anger of there stupidity and glue it back on.
You can also just buy a completely new one at Perf. Nissans site and get the Auto Dim Mirror with the built in compass, i think its around 200$...

not to steal the thread but check this out, yesterday I took my car in becuase it was leaking coolant, not bad, just a couple of drops I noticed, the car has only 8k miles on it. The tech first called me and said he couldn't find any leak after the compression test, I told him to look harder. After he found the leak and concluded the radiator had a small crack and that's where the drama starts. The tech first pointed out the Nismo radiator cap, said it was not approved by Nissan, also it appeared the upper radiator hose was not routed correctly, and the headlight screws appear to be loose, he questioned me why I replaced the radiator cap, was the radiator taken out and the headlight too, I said no but he didn't believe, thank god the service manager was cool, said they decided to honor me and will replace it without charge. I'm going to ask them to show me the crack on the radiator because I hate to have a big service job like this done on an almost new car, this is when things start to feel....different.
What a bunch of focking queers. Which dealership was this Matt?
EDIT: Just read it, nevermind.
I would have made a BIG deal out of it until they fixed it.

You need to do a search on the thread of some guy back in the middle of 2005 where is engine blew up. They were discussing some kind of law that said that a dealership could not deny warranty work on your car if the modification did not cause the failure. I am sure some one can jump in and tell you what the law is.
Yeah, that really sucks. I took mine in today because I found a gap in one of my body panels, and they are replacing the whole panel for me. Guess it really just depends on the dealership.
