Holy Sh^%t
holy Sh%$t just picked upthe Z from its first service. When I bought it the dealer told me it didnt need a service till 15k, I questioned this at the time and now when I pick it up today the dealer who serviced it ( different to the one I bought from) tells me that the first service should have been 5 k and I have voided the warranty. I have kept the sticker the selling dealer put on the windshield which clearly states 15k for the firs service. I AM BUMMED OUT BIG TIME

Well its the break in period... plenty of loose metal particles during that time... Ughh.. Yuck.. .. i feel bad for your poor engine but just a guess... maybe it won't make a difference until many miles from now if you are lucky and if your filter did a really great job of keeping those particles as you did not floor it too much.
Can you go back to the first dealer and have them do the "First" oil change.
How does the dealer know that previous oil changes were not done by some where else or by your grand mother. You might also review the owners manual so you can reduce the chances of getting burned on something else.

the breakin happens in the first few seconds of crank.. 9k miles wo oil change shouldn't do u any damage. i know of a few cars that went 100k miles wo an oil change. Just adding oil to keep rpessure right.
15k kilometers isn't that bad... service recommendations is 3750/7500 miles depending on use (most go for the 3750).
It might void your engine warranty but not all the warranty...
But you have a case with the dealer and they should back you up...

Did they put a not to the Nissan data base yet ?
If not, find your old oil change bills... (Make some if necessary).
Otherwise, your out of luck. Maintenance schedual is written all over the owner manuals and plenty of hand outs...
