Now that's a key. I mean even my old Maxima 20th anniversary had a better key than the crapy one Nissan gave us for the Z.

Unfortunately, there's only one in existance. Fortunately, I have the original. I can make you a copy though and send you one for some $$$. Lemme know if you want a copy and I'll print one out for you. I have a laser printer, so quality will be good!

j/k man...I photochopped that one. Check on the other forum.

Hahah..that's cool. I didn't mean COMPLETELY random--I just wasn't sure where you were going with this, or what you were planning to do.

The original thread is here: http://www.350zmotoring.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=33257

well I can say that not all current nissan model chip embedded keys will work universally. I bought a transpoder key for my Z off ebay that said it would work with:

Nissan Altima / 2005
Nissan Armada / 2004~2005
Nissan Maxima / 2004~2005
Nissan Quest / 2004~2005
Nissan Titan / 2004~2005

...so I figured it would work with the Z. I was wrong. I was able to cut the key and thus I could open doors, and I could program it however when I put it in the ignition it wouldn't start the car. so I guess I have a nice spare key for opening doors. however I'm sure jason already knew all this.

OK I checked out the other forum posting. JPsZ, you mentioned that you where going to get the key cut and programmed (the GTR one). Did it work for starting up the ignition?

-LamaZ

EDIT: I stand corrected by BhashaZ. . It should have been JPsZ.

Hehe...that wasn't me. I did the photochop.

Actually it was JPsZ who posted above you...and I was going to ask him the same question. So, JPsZ, you mentioned that you where going to get the key cut and programmed (the GTR one). Did it work for starting up the ignition?
