That sounds about right doesn't it? Those numbers are to the wheel. I think for an '06 with 300hp, 234 whp is a bit low, but since the '06's also have less tq as well, 217 wtq sounds about right. Maybe I'm wrong , I dunno..

66 hps lost to the drivetrain? that's horrible. i thought it might be around 260 whp for 06 Z.

It all depends on which dyno you go to. Some read high and some read low.

I am not sure, but I hear rumors that some are designed to boost your ego and others are to make you cry

+1,
i don't know how nissan design the drivetrain, that's horrible Z has so much hps loss to the drivetrain, I know the srt-4 goes in the opposite way in their dyno. the crank in the srt-4 only has 230 hps, but it can put almost 230 hps to the wheel, some even ran more than 230 hps to the wheels. it's almost has the same whp as our 300 hps crank Z has. Maybe that's called business plot for nissan.

here is some srt-4 owners stock dyno:

I haven't dynoed my '06 yet, but I will be VERY disappointed if my numbers are that low - my '05 was 236hp/229tq!

Dynos should be used to TUNE a vehicle not create bragging rights on the internet or even to "know what my car makes stock". If a dyno says you have 200 hp stock then you add a part and you dyno 220, that's a 10% gain. Take the same car to a different dyno that says you have 300 hp stock and you dyno after you install that same part as before, guess what? You'll dyno 330 hp. You should care more about the percent gained than the actual numbers. A 10% gain is going to show as a 10% gain no matter what dyno you use.

THIS IS NOT A FLAME ON ANYONE'S INTELLIGENCE, CAR, OR PEN!S SIZE. I'm just trying to get people to realize they need to use a tool for what it's meant for.

One of our members recently did a dyno, and the numbers were disappointing. Other members recommended that he find another dyno to get MORE horsepower. What? Sorry. But you have the same horsepower just different numbers.

My 03 with minimal mods (intake, plenum spacer, test pipes, exhaust) put 260 to the wheels, . Perfomance model for way less than the 06 models. Just my 2 cents since I bought an 03, .
