Default SCP Sponserships

Does anyone have any info on this company? Sports compact pro. They offered me a sponsership for $12,000.00 in parts for the car. The way they said it works is, I call them to order a part and they pay 55% of what ever the part cost. For instance, If I buy a ground affects kit for my 350Z that cost $1000.00. There share would be $550.00 and I would pay $450.00 out of pocket. The only thing I am required to do to fulfill my end of the contract is to put there logo on the side of my car and show up to 4 race events or shows a year to promote there product. Has anyone ever heard of or delt with this company before? If so, how was your experience with them? Are they hard to get in touch with after the take your sponsership fee? Does anyone think this a big scam? Please send me your comments. I need to know about this company. Thanks

P.S. I do know that a sponser should pay for all parts a labor, but if they are going to help pay for parts I was going to put on the car anyway I think it would be worth it. Just trying to find folks that has delt with this company in the past. Thanks again!!

BS, don't do it. You should not pay for any sponsorship package or activation fee.

actually this is like a known "scam" because they accept your money and give you xxxxx dollars BUT you have to order the parts from THEM where prices r high so you'll technically end up the same as if you went around and shopped for parts instead!
Like the Injen intake for example... MSRP - 360 dollars, but i-m sells it for 239! you get my point?
GOOD GAME BRO, real sponsorships come from real companies

Yeah i was on the SCP team for a while and it sucked.... i was thinking that i would be getting some free stuff for my car and then i had to pay for part labor and part of the the parts.... i guess its a good sponsorship if you already plan on modding your car... if your going turbo... it will save you alot of money.... but 12/2 price is basically Ebay so if you just wanting a body kit, exhaust... etc.... then just go with Ebay.
any more questions PM me...

Agreed- any "sponsorship" program that wants a fee up front should wave BIG RED FLAGS in front of you. Legit companies want to promote THEIR products- not make money in a thinly-disguised marketing progam.

Don't you guys think it might be worth it, if they are going to pay for 55% of the products I am going to buy? Like for instance, I can get a Vortech supercharger for $4000.00. They said they would pay up to 55% of any product I purchase and I would have to pay 45%. So they would pay $2,200.00 (55%) and my share would be $1,800.00 (45%). How does that sound, for coming out of pocket $88.00, putting there logo on my car and going to 4 events a year? I am just trying to find someone that went through this company to see what type of experience they had. Thanks again.

If you take a moment and think about the point of sponsorship as it relates to our market, you'll see that the whole method of operation behind a company like SCP is completely backwards, and is therefore something you do NOT want to be involved with
