Default It had to happen sooner or later..help plz

Driving on the rain like 3 weeks ago (already sounds bad huh?) i hit the rail on the freeway with the back of my z It was raining so much that i didn't see where the freeway divided and am going 2 admit i F**** up. I wanted to turn 1 way but i drifted to the other and that was it for me Anyhow I F***** up my bumper and got just a little of the back panel. I went to this bodyshop recommended by the dealer and the guy wants around 900$ for everything. And that's me bringing the new bumper!! WTF I think thats insane. Is there anyone out there with a good advice or that knows of a good bodyshop in Los Angeles.

Why are you paying for repairs. The car is insured right?

+1 on the insurance. The bumpers are expensive. They don't fix them, they replace them. The front one cost $650.00 to replace. That's Texas rates. You're in LA, so you'll get raped even more. I've had 3 bumpers replaced already. It's a hassle but you gotta do it.

u get for what you pay for man! dont be cheap on this.. if 900$ includes painting of the bumper and the back panel, dont think its that expensive. Dealer places are Usually a little more expensive. check your insurance!! I know a Asian shop in city of Industry that did a great job on my painting.

i would check with the wrecking yard first if i was you....
you might be able to get a half way decent one for about 250$ if you lucked out, but be prepare to spend about another 250$ at a paint shop. Do the installation yourself. Have cash in hand at the wrecking yard.
If your insurance deductable is 500$, nevermind what i've just said.

If your deductible is $500 or more, you should just pay out of pocket. You'll wind up paying a lot more than $400 in increased insurance rates if your insurance company pays for it. That sucks you F'd up your Z, but good luck with getting it fixed.
