I'm sure that this question has been posted before- but I'm curious if this is normal. I moved over from an Audi TT to a 350Z last year and have noticed that the clutch one 350Z is not like anything that I have driven before. When I depress the clutch at RPM's over 3000 it almost feels like it is made of sand paper, if that makes any sense. Curious if anyone else notices this feel or vibration in their clutch during shifts. My first thought is that it is from the engine vibrbation since it does get worse as I rev the engine even when the car is in neutral and the clutch is fully depressed. The other thing that I noticed is how far I have to release the clutch before it engages. In the TT the clutch engaged about 1/2 way up and on the Z it engages about 3/4 of the way out. Before I go run to the dealer I'm wondering if this is normal or if I need to take it in for an adjustment. I don't have any issues with grinding while shifting at all. Thanks

 

My Z kinda does the same, but not at high RPM, just around 1700 or 2000 RPM sounds and feels like $hit. I'm taking it to the stealer, i mean dealer.

 

Do a search, the clutch can be adjusted to not engage so high.

 

Yeah my 06 does the same at 3000rpms.

 

I adjusted the clutch this weekend. Pain in the butt but makes a huge improvement with the engagement point! The vibration is still present though so I'm going to end of taking it into the dealer for this problem.

 

+1, just adjusted it Saturday and it feels a lot better being lower. A friend of mine took it for a spin last night and noticed it as well.

 

Can you post how you adjusted it?

If is not too complicated I'd like to adjust it too!
