The center console needs to be removed...
there is a box between the shifter and where the coin box would be...
pull out the plug...

no you remove the console and unplug the yaw sensor, this deisables vdc bc the sensor is not telling the car which way the *** end is swinging around, yet the abs system is still active. the sensor is to the left of the coin holder but under the console..........atleast this is what i have read on hte internet........

wow its amazing the "secrets" you can discover by reading the owners manual
OK, then can someone explain what exactly the VDC off button does?
I mean I know if its on I can't fishtail the car, when its off I can fishtail. I understand it doesn't completely disables the VDC, but I want to know what is left on.
I'd really appreciate if someone that knows explains it!.
Thanks

Vehicle Dynamic Control- a computer program that looks at wheel speeds, throttle input and the yaw (or side to side movement) to dettermine if the car is under control. the program will cut throttle and/or apply the brakes based on inputs to get the car straight again. this is why you cannot swing the *** end around with vdc on. spinning wheels and teh yaw sensor tell the program that the car is not under control and throttle is cut. unplugging the yaw sensor will allow for burnouts and drifting with abs stilll active.
hope this is clear enough. this is how vdc, mercedes & chrysler's ESP and many other traction control programs work.

as far as i know, turning VDC off does turn off the VDC completely, but it does not disable the brake assistant.
For those you who CANT fish tail or get it sideways probably is because you hit the brake at some point.
Try this, may be at a large car park or somewhere you can do this safely, with VDC turned off -
at around 80~100k (50~60mph), shift to 2nd and DUMP the clutch then full accel while turning your steering wheel slightly towards open area, make sure you have enough space because your might spin out if you don't react fast enough afterwards. If you do this right, your rear end will break out instantly, and you can start fish tailing or drifting or whatever after that.
Now, do the same thing, but touch the brake slightly before full accel after shifting into 2nd gear, and also try heel and toe braking to 2nd gear then do the same thing.
If you TOUCH the brake before full accel, the car will not break the rear loose at all. It does feel somewhat twitchy but the car doesnt really accelerate enough to kick the rear out. Im not sure if its VDC closing the throttle body or the brakes biting automatically, but this is sometimes disturbing.
I never tried disconnecting the G sensor in the centre console, but I heard people saying it will completely disable the VDC. But I am guessing that it is disabling the brake assisant thing rather than disabling the VDC because the stability control system (VDC or brake assistant or whatever) does not work unless I touch the brake.
Anyone experienced this?

To set you all straight........When you press VDC to turn it off yes you can go sideways. But if you in the middle of a slide and you tap the brakes wether you like it or not VDC will kick in.
Hope this helps.
Maybe with this new hold it down for 10 seconds thing it might turn it off completely even if you go on the brakes during a slide. Ill give it a go

using brakes in the middile of a drift doesn't active the VDC. in fact what happenes there is the EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution) system. i don't know if some of you heard about it before or not! but our cars do have that system. its not the same thing which called BS ( brake assistance) that also availble in the Z. brake assistance system is a system that works as a brake booster when applying the beakes hardly,
EBD system ditribute the brake force on each tires depending on each wheel speed and maybe the yaw sensor to avoid going sideways.
peace
