Here's a recent post on car covers in the Detailing section of the forum.

I bought a Wolf cover (evolution material) as recommended by one of the posters. It's great!

I bought the Nissan cover for my 240SX when I got it in 89. I kept the cover and I now use it on the Z. Not quite an exact fit like it was on the 240, but works fine. It is one of the really think breathable covers with a big Nissan logo in the middle of the hood. I will have to see if the tag has any name on it.

I bought the stillen one when it was on sale for $95. It is awesome, it dries out quick and is very breathable. It takes like 2 mins to put on and requires no tie downs or anything like that.

I bought the Genuine Nissan cover from Courtesy. It has all the features that you would expect for $200:

Window for license plate
Antenna pouch
Grommets for tie-down
Insulation to protect from exhaust burn

The cover is on the Z about 16 hours/day: wind, rain and snow. Its water repellent, not waterproof. A light rain and the car is dry. During a heavy downpour, the car will get wet. For care, I wash it in a front loading commercial machine, then dry it on the car. Then spray the top with Scotch Guard. I can take it on or off in about 3 minutes. A week after washing the Z (and using the cover), the Z is clean except for the front wheels. Definitely recommended.
