Default Funky Buzz.Rattling problems.

Well i guess this is the week for my Z problems.

ok. anyone notice vibration noises coming from:

1) The passenger vanity mirror door buzzes against itself when the visor is down.

2) the cord, behind the rearview mirror, the plug in socket clip buzzes when going over rough roads.

3) strange cell phone interference with stock speakers. perhaps poor shielding on Nissan's part? but when i use my cingular pos phone.. i sometimes can hear buzzing.

4) the passenger side seat belt rattles like a fiend! the clip only works sometimes....

anyone else have these bugs?

(+ plus the driver seat shifting. but thats been discussed)

No problems for me so far (knock on wood ) at 1600 miles. But the notchy 1st to 2nd when cold is starting to loosen up. Gonna change engine/tranny oil this weekend and see if it smoothens it more.

300 miles and my trunk rattles, and there is an odd clicking noise coming from the dash somewhere. I have a feeling this car might turn into a rattle bucket.

Yes, had mine replaced and the buzz is gone.

2) the cord, behind the rearview mirror, the plug in socket clip buzzes when going over rough roads.

No, but I have stuffed my radar detector cord in their tight.

3) strange cell phone interference with stock speakers. perhaps poor shielding on Nissan's part? but when i use my cingular pos phone.. i sometimes can hear buzzing.

No, my sprint works fine. I dont talk and drive anyway.

4) the passenger side seat belt rattles like a fiend! the clip only works sometimes....

Yes, mine is getting worse. It used to work all the time now I get a rattle every now and then.

OTHERS:

When cold: rattle behind dash in the area of the TCS/VDC button.

Radar detector (Passport 8500) rattles sometimes when it is cold. The rubber bump stops are too hard. Rattles against the window.

For those of you with early vin #'s the plastic trunk board is different. Mine has no felt lining around the edge nor has the foam piece to press against the tire well. This causes a rattle if not placed exact in cutout and mat not aligned. Go figure?

Hello,

I have an occasional rattle where the passenger door joins the front plastics. I even took it to the
dealer but it is occasional and they could not replicate it.

I am sure one of my rear speakers rattles, I am
astounded how poor the whole stereo package
is [I am getting the stereo replaced on Monday
so we'll see how that goes.]

Really wish the passenger side seatbelt had
a better system than the clip.

On the positive side now that I have more clicks
the engine sounds fantastic. I have a Ducati motorbike so really enjoy a good sounding engine
