Vibration from Bass?
I have the standard bose system with the single sub behind the diver seat. And whenever I play a song with strong bass (Whisper Song for example) I hear a lot of vibration through the car. Should I be worried, or is this just normal for a car with lots of bass in it?
You're going to get flamed. I have 2 kicker Comp VR's running at 600 watts one channel. You think YOU have a lot of bass? Whenever I leave my subs on for more than a minute my rear view mirror is facing my shift ****.
This is normal. With any car, when you add quite a bit of bass, you will get rattles. You can fix it by tracking down where the rattle is coming from and applying some dyno-mat or similar product.
Theres a difference between vibration of the actual music(beat), or the rattling and vibration of the plastic in the car. I particular don't think those noises go well with the song.

Dynomat is a bit of thick and heavy asphalt based material with a sticky side and a foil side. Here's some of the treatment I added. This is a product called "Fat Mat" which is the same material half the price without the logos.
My trunk vibrates and rattles but that's why I bought the two 10's. I think it is normal and even gets the honey's to look over when you roll up next to them and your bass rattles their ride too.

i got 100'sq for $100 on ebay. smoking deal on the fat mat. the rattling in your door panels is from the door speakers not the sub. chances are it isn't even a rattle, but you have the bass turned up too loud and are popping the door speaker. i tried to fat mat my doors and it is pretty much done from the factory.
I have the same set up in my car with the bose sub, and the rattling that I have comes from the dash board and it's not from the music. It rattles at speeds under 25 mph. ??????????

I'm a fan of nice clean crisp bass. Doesn't need to blow your trunk off, but shoudl be a nice full sound.
Sound deadening material serves more purpose than curing the rattles. It also helps keep you sound waves generated by your stereo where you want it, Inside your car. It will also keep road noise out. its a worthwhile investment if you find the level of road noise in your car annoying.
