I work for the Boys division of Mattel...Hot Wheels baby! Someone who knows I just got the Z told me that there was a 1:18 scale silver (I haven't seen it yet), but he didn't seen any other colors. FIRST THING TOMORROW MORNING I'm gonna' make some calls - I have got to get one. I have the Frost/Touring and having the 1:18 scale of it on my desk to look at (during work hours) might help ease the pain I feel when I have to leave my Baby unattended while I fight the good fight.

Support my brand and get you one - Hot Wheels! Hot Wheels! Hot Wheels! I love my job.

I hear "group buy" in the background.

If you make a Daytona Blue I am so there...

Let me know, although I know you probably have to see through a retailer. (Work a deal with a Wal-Mart or Toys-R-Us buyer!)

Unable to log-on to this site at work, but will get the details tomorrow and report back tomorrow night.

1. What colors will it come in and where to purchase.

2. If the rear hatch opens or not.

I've seen other scales that open at every angle, so I don't know why this one wouldn't, but that's what it looked like to me too. Same thing for the gas hatch. Hmmmmmmm.

Same Bat time...Same Bat channel. Check ya' later with info.

Default p.s.

I won't have to check thru a retailer to get the 411. I work for the president of the Boys division - a phone call should do the trick. So long as I'm not giving up company secrets when I report back to the masses I'm good.

The more Hot Wheels you buy, the happier I am. Did I say I LOVE MY JOB?

I was actually talking about a group buy. Can you sell directly to us?? That would be sweet.

You'd be better off getting this set from Courtesy Nissan:

http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchan...t_Code=JCL013S

You can make any combination of interior/exterior colors you want, in the exact colors offered. It's great! My wife got me one for my Birthday. You just screw together a body and a chassis (it even comes with the screwdriver), pop in the muffler, and you're done.

1:18 Scale Heartbreak for Me...

Rear Hatch does not open, found out the hatch doesn't open on most of our 1:18 scales, unless is a Ferrari - go figure. Reason: nothing to see in the trunk, unlike the hood - engine there. Hmmph!

The next color scheme due is BLUE with FROST interior - a few months later the RED (not Brickyard) is due, also with FROST interior.

The interior is pretty detailed. I think we coulda' done a better job on the exterior door handles, same thing for the interior handles. Other than that the speakers, benind the seat storage compartments, dash, etc. are pretty much on point. I was impressed, but what do I know, I'm just a girl.

Later Ya'll

Default Bat and Cazz

The silver is out now!

BAT: Daytona Blue due next, so shortly. He didn't give me an exact date, but I imagine a month or so. Not much longer than that. I'm not into that EBAY thing and I'm not selling anything, but when we come with the blue I can GIVE you one (1) free. No prob. Just let me know.

CAZZ: You're my boy and you know I've got you covered, but check this - no plans for Brick, Pike Wht or Sun...Is that crazy or what? I s/w one of the guys in the DC and he may show me some luv and hook up a wht for me, I'll see what I can do abt a brk for you. The SILVER is on my desk right now if you want it for your boy he can have it or you can give it to 'ol girl - your choice. BTW - I have a conv Caddy 1:18, BURGUNDY on my desk for you as well. Who loves you baby?

Holla'

Default Hot Wheels 1/64 Scale 350Z in Daytona Blue

One of a kind. Used the Nissan Touch-up paint (B17 Daytona Blue) and painted it.

With steady hands, it looks GREAT!!!

And there are still enough paint for any chips I may get in the future, if the paint doesn't dry out first (like all other touch up paint I ever owned).
