Even though the Autoart version is twice the price of the Hotwheels one, I'm also interested in the quality comparison. Just ordered my own Hotwheels version off of ebay cuz NOWHERE sells them where I live.

You get what you pay for. I have both. The Hotwheel one is decent in quality, worth the $24 I paid. The AutoArt is worth the $50 I paid as well.

Hobby City in Anaheim . Your local hobby shop should have them. I hear Toys R Us carries them as well. Good luck .

LOL, that is where my wife got my CS autoart to surprise me, she did lots of looking and found them there.

Hotwheels are pretty decent quality for the $, I have a 360 Modena that is pretty good, BUT my autoart s2000 and Z are better and MUCH MUCH better then my hotwheels 911 (which is SO bad, I joke that it needs body work or some BONDO ). Hotwheels seems to have some decent cars and some CRAP cars.

I got my AutoArt in Le Mans Sunset from DBZ on this website. He was very friendly and responsive. I paid $45.00 plus $6.?? shipping. The detail and quality is fantastic.... a great value for the money.

Here's a like to a previous thread:

You might also try sending a pm to DBZ.

Love this Le Mans Sunset, can't wait for the real one!

Here are some pics of a 300zx made by Kyosho but it is not a 2 + 2. This model is on back order from Sports Crafters

Hi thanks for that.

It seems like its next to impossible finding a 2+2 1/18 (or 1/24) model anywhere. Anyone who can assist, I would greatly appreciate it!

Hello, all, the AutoArts are still available if anyone is interested pm me please. One word about the Kyosho 300ZX, although it is made by Kyosho, the quality of the diecast model is pretty horrible. It's also very expensive for what you get. Unless you are a true diehard 300ZX fan probably not one to purchase. Some of the later models from Kyosho, such as the M3, etc are better in detail and quality, however still does not measure up to the AutoArts and they are not a true 1:18 scale model. You tell by lining up the AutoArt model, the Hotwheels and the Kyosho side by side. The Hotwheels and Kyoshos will usually be larger than the AutoArt.

How do you get free shipping? If so that would be an excellent deal on the 350Z's. If not, the normal shipping cost they list for UPS ground flatfee is $8 which is kind of high, they are padding the shipping and handling fee. Fed Ex 2nd day Air for the AutoArt package, approx 4.0 lb package is around $6~ Do we still get charged Sales tax for CA residents? If there are any Ferrari 550 Maranello fans this website has a UT verision for $25.95 which is an awesome deal. UT is the same company as AutoArt, before there was an autoart. The UT models are for the most part all discontinued and this would be old stock, however the quality would be similar to the AutoArts. Hotwheels has exclusive rights for Ferrari diecast models now, hence, no one else can offer the 1:18 scale Ferrari's. It's a shame, because any one who sees this 550 in person will understand that there is a huge quality difference between the Hotwheels version and the UT one.

I can most likely get you this Kyosho 300 ZX but not a 2+2 version. I don't think, with the exception of the Tamiya plastic model that you would actually build, was there a 2+2 version model offered.

It’s a promotion they’re running I assume, because in order to get free shipping you have to order 3 or more of the rip-off autoart models, although the details on these cars are incredible. I also picked up an old 240z for a pretty fair price, because kyosho’s are generally more expensive, ended up spending around $200 just for 4 cars, that’s with sales tax because I’m here in Cali. I have a total of 11 diecast in my collection right now, should take some pics and post it.
