You absolutly will not know your delivery date estimate until you have a VIN Number and it can be tracked by you, me, nissan, and your lamer dealerships .....If you get a letter with your VIN # then post it...until then we don't wanna hear your BS or your dealers BS.

Post info about confirmation letters but until another month or so..then we will bounce up and down about when your vehicle is coming...until then get in the back of the line and wait till AUG-OCT like the rest of us.

 

We all have a right to be excited and who knows what is BS and what is not. Most of us will jump on any info we can get at this point. Hell for all we know our cars could show up in June.IMHO

If some dude wants to post what his schmuck salesman told him was his delivery date, let him. Most of the people around here know the latest info, thanks in large part to people like you and Jay and Zisme. So chill man...it's all good...

 

this post was mostly dedicated to the 100 posts about delivery dates.....im just trying not to get peoples hopes up with false info.... I read it again and it was kinda rude...THIS POST was mostly meant for the Zcar.com forums... I posted it here because I dont want the same to happen here as it did to the zcar.com forum.

In zcar.com it is hard to cut through the BS in there.

 

Please don't lump this site in with zcar...don't get me wrong, I've gotten alot out of that site too, but there's a hell of a lot less flaming going on here. You should be more careful in which site you're responding to for what. Anyway, thanks for all the info you've gotten for us the last few months...

I'm one of those who has posted about my delivery date. To recap I said I have a document in my possession stating production month as June 02 and delivery date as Aug'02.( i said I would have my car by the end of August) The document comes from Nissan North America and is titled Customer Orders. My name is the 4th one on the list. I won't post it because it has private info about the other people too.
I am happy to share my info.

It is also my understanding that vin numbers are not generated until after the cars are produced. Nissan uses another system to track the cars during production. I don't claim to know more than the "experts" I just know what I have in front of me in writing!!!

Thats the confusion.....thats why i posted you cant get the exact day because people are thinking the letter means aug 2, 2002 ....atleast not yet..

it says 08/02 <<<<year we will get the exact day when the tracking begins

 

How were you guys able to get those documents? Was it as easy as calling your dealer and asking, or do you have a connection? I called my dealership a couple of weeks ago to update my address and phone number and asked the guy if there was any news and he said he hadn't heard anything. He wasn't the salesman I actually ordered from, as he has left, but has taken over as my contact. He doesn't seem like the sharpest tool in the shed though.

Any thoughts? I would love to see the same type of document with my name and order on it!

Gibbsy, its from the dealer, every month they get a report from Nissan detailing what cars they will be getting in a future month. In this case, 2 months out, i.e. Jun prod for Aug delivery.

 

I have read all your info and the BS you are getting.While a few might get their cars in August I would assume that most in the pre-order will get theirs in September-October.All things are pointing that way.
