kakey, I was up in Victoria this past weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the weather (and the city - one of my favorites in the Northwest). Got to drive my Z out to Sooke. Some great roads off the main thoroughfare. Got lost winding through East Sooke.
Anyhow, the Z was a big hit there from the deckhands on the BC Ferry to the valet parker at the hotel who said this is his new favorite car after driving it - just to the parking building and back, he said. Everyone wants to talk about the car and tell how much they know about it. Two people waiting for the ferry in Sidney got out of their cars came up to discuss the Z. There is a lot of knowledge about the 350 Z in the general public.

The run out to Sooke is definately one of my favorites, being rural, rather winding and lacking policemen it is a very nice run.
The 350Z is still rather new up here so many people have not even seen one ... it was a pain to even test drive one. That said though, most people have seen pictures and know a lot about it. It is pretty popular, glad you enjoyed your trip!

Kevin Akey

I know I'm coming in late on this, but come ON. Find something tangible to talk about. or else sell your car and buy a Yugo, nobody drives those damn things either.
It makes me happy to see awesome cars on the road and it gets me EXCITED to see other Z's. We had a meet this weekend and lemme tell you, driving down PCH and up the 405 with 5 other Z's at night is TOO MUCH FUN.
F***, just b/c I see more M3's than z's doesn't mean I wouldn't want to own one of those either.

Yes, I agree. You completely missed the time to rant about your feelings of the original thread since the topic has turned in another direction. Your disgust though is noted.

I was a little grumpy yesterday I admit - got yelled at by a partner for something I didn't do or deserve (somebody else sent something to the client w/o him seeing it - which I obviously had NO CONTROL over - but he yelled at me anyway). Yes, a little rant always feels good.
