When I was a kid, we had a ping pong set. The faces of the paddles had a textured rubber covering on them. That covering appears to be identical to the material (but in black) covering the door interiors of my Z - and it looks like the cheap crap that it is. Also, the "metallic-look" plastic around the shift lever boot that is conspicuously cheap and not metallic-looking AT ALL.
I think the "because it is" answer says it all.

comparing the two is pointless. if you look at all the high-end sports cars...
ferrari, bugatti, porsche, etc. they all have simple interiors. the idea is that
a true sports car is all about the essentials. the interiors are nice, but they
are very simple.
who buys a sports car for the luxurious interior? it doesn't add a bit to the
performance of the car... only the ego of the driver.

more luxurious? of course it is! by how much debatable. the Z is more sporty. by how much? its debatable. what did you buy your Z for, luxury or sportiness? I would hope sportiness, if not you bought the wrong car. let them have their more cushy ride, back seats and more luxurious interior, I'll take my faster, better handling, sexier and more sporty car anyday.

G35 are more silent, softer.....lexury goddamn it
350Z are sporty, loud....I mean c'mon, get ya lazy *** of ya chair in front of ya compy and go try both. You'll now what I mean...lol
But I still prefer skyline interior. The R34 in leather is just....I can't explain it.....

I can say that i tried both, G35 and Z, because i didnt know which one to pick from. The G is of course a "status" vehicle but i found that interior HIDEOUS!! Accord's have better interiors like was said earlier.
The Z is not great but y was not looking for comfort, luxury, and a peaceful ride. I wanted something that would put a smile on my ***ing face when i slammed on the throttle!!! I want to be able to almost feel the engine and have all the NECESSARY controls to be at one with the car! I want to feel like a M***F***ing Fighter Pilot in a F18!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now, that my friends is the concept of a sports car.

My thought about this whole topic is if you want luxury buy a G but if your looking for more of an aggressive look get a Z. Half of the time if your going to mod your car so the interior doesnt even matter cuz you will change half of the stuff in side with after-market anyways right?

Could you image a roll bar in the back of a G? Two different cars .... different needs. However, it's still the Z's brother, so you have to love the G35 because it is from the same DNA.

They should have just made the G's interior more luxurious than the Z by leaps and bounds.
Gave the Z some better supporting bucket seats, maybe a nismo steering wheel so we can end this gawt dayam debate.
