Default What the Hell.....

God freakin damn....

I always found some water in the car after it rained or I washed it. I took it to the Nissan dealer and they said the previous owner did a audio system upgrade and they DRILLED THROUGH THE FIRE WALL!!!

Why the hell would you drill through the fire wall???? I mean what the hell! Now they say its a tedious job and will take an average of 4+ hours of work not including parts. 85 * 4 = 340 bucks minimum! I mean what the hell. I am so freakin mad right now.

Just fill the hole with some silicon. It shouldn't take but a few minutes.

$Ouch$ 350Z owners have had audio installers drill holes in the fuel tank. So sure, I can see drilling holes in the firewall.

A firewall drill is common for heavy guage power wires, BUT there is OEM Grommet space already on the car that will accomodate 4GA .

Update!!!! They didnt drill a whole... they just put a 1 inch wire above it.. which cuased it to bend...

I took the liberty of taking apart my car just now and found out the person left most of the wires, speakers, and elements...

i really cant see much, but the red wire is definately an 8 or 4 ga power wire. so that means you should have an amp, or the previous owner had one and removed it. if you follow it, and its not hooked up to anything, you can remove it. looks like some of the pix are of a crossover, which splits the highs and lows to your speakers.

well since I have the stock radio... there is no place wheer the rca's go to... and the other spear wires...

Somone said he doesnt know how its possible I still have sound. Unless I still have the stock speaker wires connected to the speakers and to the headunit, but then what are those other wires doing with the RCA cables? Are they just lying there loose by the speakers?

I hate not knowing stuff like this =(

Exactly...Pick up a sub, amps and a head unit, and you're set. looks like you already have the cross over and components.
