Default Holes in my front bumper

Hey anyone else buy a 350Z where either the dealership or previous owner drilled holes in the front bumper for the license plate?? Ughh, i hate it. I am purchasing the license plate bracket from performance Nissan soon, but it looks like i gotta hit up the body shop so they can fill in them holes.

The dealership made me sign a waiver so that they wouldn't drill the holes. If you bought the Z with them there already and you're putting on the front plate, why not just use them?

because im picky about stupid small things, and i hate the position of the plate on the bumper, id rather have it lower on the grill. Or better yet not at all, and just wait for a cop to tell me i need it there. lol

www.bumperplugs.com

get the titanium silver color... cheaper than a body shop I think...

PA doesn't need front plates, but I actually like it with plates and bought a nice Z plate off ebay...

At least a ticket for no plate is not a moving violation, I hate it when I go to a dealership and the car is on the showroom with holes already drilled.

my dealer asked if i wanted them to drill the hole when the car was ready for delivery. they assumed i didn't want them to. so they just gave me the plates and the mounting bracket in case i changed my mind later. btw, no front plates in virginia is supposed to be against the law but they don't really enforce it from what i have seen. i don't have front plates.

I was going to get bumper plugs until I wrecked the front of my Z. Then all I had to do was ask the body shop not to drill!

My wife was pulled over once for no plate. i gotta order a holder!

Really depend on your luck. I got pulled over couple times for no front plate. But their real intention was to check if i was driving under the influence. Once they found out i wasn't, they just let me go. However, I got pulled on the way to Vegas once going around 70MPH and the officer told me: "Sir, I pulled you over because you don't have a front licence plate." I was like "WTF?" Anyhow, he still wrote me up. The ticket costs only $10, so no biggie.

NC which is where my car is registered does not require a front plate. I bought the car in VA where they drill holes up front on new cars as part of prep. I now just need to mask the holes or wait until I need to replace the front end because of some smuck backing into me or some ****.

Just a quick note here from freezing Sweden:
- Plates in both ends are mandatory
- Removing them (actually both) can, if you are caught, render you a $45 ticket
- Having them removed can/will save you: *speed-camera fees, *plate stealing, *traffic tolls in Stockholm, *parking tickets, *car theft>-see below

Car theft: Pros can get 'hit-jobs' for certain car models. In Sweden it is a breeze to just use internet and get ANY vehicles owner data (embassy car registrations can be hidden), address etc.

Some see the $45 fee as a cheap insurance!

I got the 50 cent plugs at Home Depot, painted them with touch up paint and clear coated them and it looks great. That was one of the biggest dissapointments with my car. Now the front end looks 100 times better. Do a search on the plugs, I did ant they turned out sweet.
