Default LEDs in the Engine Compartment?

Has anyone done this yet? I want to install LEDs in the vents of my hood I am wondering how they stand up to the heat and if anyone has any suggestions?

Thanks!

LEDs hold up well under the hood.

My advise to you is to buy a simple Hood/Pin Switch (about $3) from any store that sells car alarms and hook the ground to your LED set to this. This will break the contact and shut off the LEDS when the hood is closed and light them up instantly when open.

Yeah thought about the switch but I actually want them to beable to run when the hood is closed as well so I will show through the venting of the Scoote hood

LEDs don't drain a lot of power, My friend has about 10 under his hood on his cougar and lets them run full time without a problem. He never lets his car sit for more than 2 or 3 days, so I think you would be good to go.

Yeah I am going to run a switch into the cockpit of the Z to control the outside lighting. I am also having LEDs mounted into the vents of my GReddy side skirts.
