When Do You Refill On Gas?
Im trying to get an idea of when everyone refills their gas. The meter is divided into 4 sections. I usually refill once it gets a little into the 4th quater territory... HOWEVER when i do refill its only like 13 gallons...
So technically I should have another 7. It seems like im just scared of getting stuck somewhere without gas.
Also... How many miles can you drive once the Low Fuel light comes on.

Anyhow its so you don't run out of fuel. Its a 20 gallon tank and the fuel computer computs for like a 17.5 tank. That way when you do go to "E" you still have another 2.5 gallons (or about 50-60 miles) to go.
I never let my tank get below 1/4 left. Living in an area where it might snow you always want to be careful on how much fuel you have in case to end up stranded.

yea? which one is it... i am pretty clueless
I know i have speed, average mpg, a timer....
Also I could care less if people flame me.. yes its a dumb question, but im trying to figure out why I have a 20 gal tank and the meter basically says empty when I used up 13-14 gallons..
Robert, thanks man... so 50-60 miles is pretty damn good... I commute 70 miles a day... and during that commute I only pass like 2 gas stations which are literally 30 miles apart. So i get nervous and when its 1/4 empty I fill up.

There is a digital reading gage that sits to the right of the rest of the gages. Look straight ahead at say the miles per hour gage which is right in front of you, then lool to the right and up a little bit and you will see another gage. This reads tire pressure, mph (digitally), temperature outside, miles until gas is empty... and a few other things! There is a button right next to it that you can press to cycle through all of the functions

idk who he is talking to. It doesnt say in the manual how many miles you can do when the E light is on. It only says 20gal tank. So thats why I asked.
Edit.. thanks stella. I have an enthusiast. So i dont have the tire pressure thing. So i might not have the miles left on my tank of gas... ill double check tho

I'm not going to say that because you strike me as one of those people to take that literally, get stuck on the interstate without fuel, get hit by another motorist, and try to take me to court for offering advice.
Not flaming you, but why would anyone ever ask when to refill?

Speed indicator
→ Outside air temperature
(ICY) → Distance to empty (dte) → Average fuel
consumption and speed → Elapsed time and
trip odometer → Stopwatch → Tire pressure
indicator (PSI) (if so equipped) → Up-shift indicator
setting (for M/T models) → Speed indicator
NM i found it. Thanks stella.
And to "the proffesional" ill quote myself "Im trying to get an idea of when everyone refills their gas." I did not say please tell me when I should refill. I was worried that maybe my guage was broken. And if there is something wrong about me asking for help then shoot me.
Its sad that there are dumbasses who act superior to others everywhere one goes. And you call yourself a professional...
