Default got my car stuck last night leaving a party

driving down a dirt/sand road and it was kinda torn up due to all the cars that had been out there. as i was leaving i tried to drive with on tire in the middle of the road where the sand was more packed and was higher due to the tire ruts and the other tire off the side in the grass. i thought i was clear went back to the middle of the road and immediately sank to my frame. tires wouldnt even spin, even wtih giving moderate amount of throttle and clutch still in a little, it stalled out like 5 times.
luckily a guy there had a jeep and a towstrap and pulled me right out. kind of embarassing though.

Not to worry, believe it or not 4WD's even get stuck if they sink in up to the frame. That must have been some sloush. That's about the only time us Z owners might want to own one of those STI's Subie's. j/k Even then it's more fun getting towed out by a 4WD. It gives us yet another reason to celebrate.

Clean her up really good and look for damage. More than likely just a bit of mud. Sounds like some kinda night.

Glad to hear it all worked out OK.

Man, Why are you off roading the Z? Jk. That reminds me one time I went camping with some friends and I had my 99 Sentra Se..it was dropped a bit...only Mod. Well, the campsite was fine to park at..nice flat dirt roads....UNTIL it started raining like a **** for 2 days straight. When I tried to leave the camp I ended up in a foot of deep mud. It took like 3 hours to get it out and my car was so compltetely covered with mud that I was still finding chunks of it years later even after washes and detailing.
Moral of the story is to stick to paved roads unless you got a real beater or a truck.!

The next time you find yourself spinning the tires and not going anywhere, stop, get out, and let some air out of your tires. I used to cruise the beach and found it gave me a little more traction, and it works in mud, on ice, or any other low traction areas.

I'll take it that wasn't meant for me, and I'll defend the OP. some people do happen to live where the directions sometimes will tell you to "turn off the paved road" and from there you could be on any number of surfaces. I for one, last got stuck where I needed to be pulled out about 15 years ago, right after I got my license. I'd still be cruising the beaches, but California has this thing where they think you'll kill some obscure insect that anyone in their right mind would pull out the can of Raid on if they saw it.
So, take my advice for what it is, and look at the whole scenario before calling someone a dumbass jackass.

Not much you can do when you bottom out on the frame. When you feel the tires slipping, that is the last hope to dig out some sand and stick something solid like a mat/sticks etc under the tire for traction. Once you bottom out the only way to self rescue is to jack up the car and stick something under the tire. As others have said even 4WD get stuck and some just carry a piece of plywood an a hi-jack in the truck bed. A receiver mounted winch is also great since you can pull yourself out from a _front_ or rear receiver.

I got my dads 4X4 truck stuck once in the desert sand and he was pretty ****** when he had to come and tow me out with his tractor
