Default Someone almost crashed into my Z!

Arg I'm so pissed. I was driving home going the speed limit (I've learned my lessons..) and i had cruise control on. I was driving and listening to music when i see a guy in a dodge stratus come to an intersection about 200 feet ahead... I figure..200 feet...i hope he doesn't think he could make it...and he goes. I floor the brakes and i'm seriously about 30 feet away from him by the time i was able to turn the wheel to the right, barely avoid him and have my rear end come out a little. I was SO mad, why do people think they can do that? Anyway, after that little incident my brake pads are squealing. Stupidpenis monger. -.-

Minus the cruisecontrol, same thing happened to me in my previous accord. BARELY made it by inches. Idiot van. If it wasn't for my modded suspension and tires, I would have hit him for sure. It was just point and shoot, no arguments from the tires. That is why I love suspension mods. =D

Glad you got away safely.

I think because of the wide and low stance of the Z, our cars seem like they are moving slower than what the actual velocity is, causing others to misjudge our speed and cut in front. I think smaller vehicles -- like a bike -- have the same effect. Maybe that's why it's common for bikers to get into T-bone accidents. I often drive with my lights on, I think it helps.

I always expect them to jump out in front of me. Mostly people with cellphones don't think the have to look to the sides with there cellphones up to their head. They just pull out in front of you. I'm always making sure I have a space to go to if this happens whether it is a emergency lane or the other lane with no traffic coming. I practice this on every drive. It's only going to get worse with the more stuff people are putting in their car to distract them. It only used to be kids, dogs, etc... Now you have cellphones, GPS, DVD'S, CD's, Satillite and other complicated and poorly marked electronics to take their eyes off of the road.

The SUV's actually use there size to try and slow you down a lot of times.
The attitude is: "I'm bigger than him and if I get out in front of him, and he rear ends me it's his fault and he'll get hurt not me." Plus, it is near impossible to prove otherwise, especially if you have a high performance sport car the cards are not in your favor once you go to court.

I can hardly wait until cars have collision avoidance installed in them.

I've avoided so many accidents over the years just driving defensively. I always leave myself a way out incase some ******** isn't paying attention or just being stupid!

What I will never understand is why people will risk other peoples lives doing stupid sh!y to get home or to work a few minutes early. I don't know about others but It would weigh pretty heavey on me if I had killed someone like this.

I finally got my retribution. One chick driving a bug cut me off to go from right lane through middle lane, where I was, to the left lane. She didn't see that the left lane was separated from two right lanes by a curb. So she smashed her VW Bettle into the curb, hopped over it, producing tons of sparks and guess what... she NEVER GOT OFF her cell phone .

Heh another one today, i was driving down route 9 and some guy in his dodge magnum (he was a 'thug' btw with fake grill teeth) on his cell phone just slowly turned into another car in the lane next to him. I was right behind him. ******* didn't get off the phone as i passed him.
