Too much heat???
Is it just my car or does the Z put out too much heat when the heater is on? My car seems like it puts out too much warm air even on the first "click" from off. I like the fact that there is a temp dial but I swear I'm getting 70+ degrees when it should be closer to 65.

Z's a/c is confusing as hell to me! Why can't you have hot, inside air without the compressor being on? I mean, maybe I don't want to dry the air out and rob power from the engine, breathe noxious fumes from outside, or be freezing.
*musical* You can't always get what you want... *musical*
OK...I need to lay off the crack.

Hmmm....I just read the owners manual and maybe I'm doing this wrong. The manual states that the fan control should be in the "auto" mode when using the heater with the A/C turned off if you want to maintain the heat in the car at a particular temp. I'll give that a try on my drive home tonight.

I used to turn off the A/C everytime it turns on automatically. I realized my car started to smell like strawberry smoothies and smoke so now I leave it on and my car smells good

I just leave mine in full Auto and it's always comfortable.
I was in Kansas City on business a couple weeks ago and had some crappy Chevy without climate control and it sucked having to always fix the heat.

I leave my temp dial on 75, and both the other dials on auto regardless of the temp outside, if it's cold outside and the heater is running, the "auto" feature only puts heat out of the feet vents and it keeps it very comfortable inside. If it is hot out, and the a/c is running, then the face vents come into play. Use the temperature gauge and turn cooler if it is blasting too much heat and vice versa if it is blowing too much a/c. Hope that sheds some light on this dilemma.

for the most part, unless i've been doing an active sport and sweating, then i'll bypass the auto feature and full blast the a/c. My OCD also comes into play and i don't like the temp dial hash mark being off center. I also have thin-skin and enjoy long walks on the beach, yet I dislike being sandy; interesting.

Haha, I thought I was the only one. My ac always ends up on 75 with the fan at 1/2 way just to keep the lines going straight up. I'm hopeless...

I have the same problem did you ever figure out how to get this fixed?
If I turn the temp control all the way to the left it turns to full AC. If I barely click it to the right just into the tempurature range it goes to blasting full heat. It doesn't matter if it's 35 or 95 degrees outside.
