Let me tell you about why I would ask this question. First off, I found out at the start of 06 that me and my wife are going to have our first child. I was really excited until she started trying to talk me into getting RID of the Z.
(She thinks I should get an Evo!) I really want to keep the Z so I was reading the manual about the child hook behind the pass. seat and I found out you can have a child in the front seat if you get a dealer installed Airbag ON/OFF switch. Just wondering how much and if anyone has done this?
Dude, cmon your baby will have whiplash from the torque in that thing. hahaha

I have the airbagonoff.com switch installed and it's great. They'll mount it wherever you want it, and the cost is around $400. Many dealers don't want to install airbag switches because of the liability. In order to have one of these installed, you have to get permission from the NHTSA. You have to fill out and mail a form in, and you'll get a permission letter back after a few weeks. You MUST provide the permission letter to the installer. All said and done, the process isn't that hard or expensive. Do it, you won't regret it.

i have one from airbagonoff.com. these certified guys, in my area, run a handicaped modification store and did an awesome job. the only problem is i have two kids, my son has not riden in it yet but my daughter loves the ride.
again the dealer sucks, go to the site and get them to do it. they will be more professional and get it done right. the dealers around me would not even order the parts for me
