Tires - Rotation???
Got kinda depressed when I read the manual and it said, "These tires cannot be rotated" and then stuck its foot up my behind.
So we can't rotate our tires because our rear tires are 20mm larger than our front tires and are rotational. (Touring 350Z, all rims 18inch.) Thats retarded.
Is it at all possible to setup your Z with tires that you can rotate, at least from side to side if not from front to back? I have a heavy foot... and I'm going to be going through these 140treadwear tires quite quickly... If it is possible, how much of a performance loss am I looking at? I really hate spending $800-$1000 on tires all the time because I can't rotate them for ****...
If I can't set it up with tires that I can rotate, anyone have any links to tires I should look at with a balance between performance and durability? This car is expensive enough without having to worry about tire change...

ok its gonna be more difficult but u can do it and it will cost some money...
u have to take the tires off and swap them left to right...
not just taking thw wheels off and swap the wheel...
u have to take off the tires and swap them that way (because the treading is directional)
...
taking off a tire is like 10 dollars and putting it back on is like 20 more dollars...
so its kind of expensive...

Thanx Bee Ess Pee... But there is no way to do a true rotation (front to back) on these cars?
If not... in that case, can anyone please recomend me a good set of tires that wont eat a whole in my wallet and will last me an acceptable amount of time?

A friend of mine who just bought a new mustang put new wheels and tires on as soon as he got it. He wanted to be able to rotate front to rear so he went with the same size front and back. It looks good but I am not sure how it would look on our Zs, not to mention the TPS thing...

The 350Z is a performance car that deserves performance tires. Generally performance tires are a softer compound than all-season, therefore less tread life. Can you put all-season tires on a 350Z? Sure. But why buy a 350Z and put Solara shoes on it?
