Default Possible transmission problem?

Do you any of you guys experience a sort of clunking of the transmission when shifting? Usually it is going into second gear. But it seems the entire transmission clunks as if it was swinging a little bit.

+1 on the normal...the 2nd gear clunk is one of the crappiest features of the tranny...at least the throws are nice and short.

Clunk clunk clunk, all the way home.

100% normal. Unless it is GRRRRRRRRRinding into gears... normally 5th/6th or 3rd... I wouldn't worry about it.

Its just sometimes the transmission actually sound like its rocking down there. Not the shifter but the tranny itself.

i have an 05 and my 1st to 2nd always "clunks". I learned to live with it tho. Plus, it sort of goes away after the car warms up.

ya my 06 does it too. I know corvettes do it a lottt worse than the Z (C5 vettes at least). Since were on the subject of tranny noise, does anyone know if the Z has straight cut gears??? I know race cars(Le mans, etc) have them and they whine REALLY loud. The gears on the Z also whine, I doubt it has them but just wondering.
