Default HELLO , I'm a NEWBIE, what's everyone's first mod?

Hello guys. I'm new and just got my Z, I had a 01 Nissan Maxima SE, blew the struts and went to Performance Nissan to get a part. Ended up they didn't have any, so I went out to check out the Z's and ended up getting a better part. a NEW 06 Magnetic Black Z. It's an enthusiast. I love the nissan maxima, had the 99 and 01. But the Z is just a whole different car, no comparison.

As for mods I know all you guys talk about getting the plenum spacer, what's that, anybody have a pic? I know some of you guys get intakes, but they don't make that much difference in HP, so I'll pick between the Gruppe M, NISMO, or JWT POP, whats the difference between STILLEN AND JWT?

Any help would be useful, because I have no idea what a plenum spacer is and I did search, but can't find pics. Should I get that or suspension mods, or just save up for a SC. Don't like TT. I want reliability down the road.

I'm in the So Cal area so hope to see some of you guys around.

Thanks. Ted

If you don't know what a splenum spacer is, don't head in that direction.

First mod...JWT Popcharger. It's fairly cheap, easy to install, and everyone has one.

My first mod was finding the search function. There are answers to all of your questions within the search function.

i did search, can't find any pics of the spacer though. anybody have a picture of it? i heard its hard to install too.

and hello joeyfyed. Yea i always get an intake first, i had the STILLEN on the maxima. loved the sound, sounds better than the INJEN crap I put into it. I might have seen you around but I wouldn't know. I live in Arcadia, theres like 20 Z's in a 3 mile radius in my car. just last night, went to the cafe and there were 3 black Z's in the lot. albeit 1 was an older model. hope to get to know more of you guys. THANKS for all the help.

Thanks Murphy, does the Pop-charger sound deep? or does the NISMO sound better? who ever has one, please chime in. Either way I heard pop charger is the best.

one really important question, when did you guys first change your oil. at 500? i'm at 800 and I think I should change it. did you guys change it yourself with synthetic? or give it to the dealers. and when should i change again? 1500? or 3000? Thanks.
