Default The reverse beep

Hey guys, soz i couldn't find other posts regarding this. So basically wheneva I reverse this thing, it sounds like i'm reversing a truck or forklift, it's especially embarrasing when a hot chick is watching me. I don't need the car to tell me that i'm in reverse, I think i'm experienced enough to work that out myself...

Basically, is there anything I can do to stop the car from beeping (apart from never reversing again )

Thanks

Is'nt the beep to tell others that you are going in reverse. I guess in case a blind person cannot see your reverse lights. Must be some way to disble the power, unless it uses your horn.

Hahaha... man, my '00 Celica GT-S had a reverse beep too....god it was fu*king annoying...you can't imagine how many forklift jokes I had to endure. Anyway, on the Celica, the fix was to cut one wire behind the gauge cluster. I'd imagine it would be something very similar in the Z.

find the reverse horn and cut it .... usually it's located in the trunk or outside under the rear bumper

+1. Just locate the beeper and remove it. It shouldn't be hard to locate given that it beeps.

If it only beeps inside, you'll have to look for the Piezo beeper. Just cut one (or both) of the wires that are connected to it.
