I'v been relying on the electronic speed gauge so much that when i was sitting in the avalon, i started reading the temperature.. and I was going 75 the whole time
I dont think i read the speed from regular one ONCE yet in this whole year of driving the Z
I'm the same way and hate living here up north when it drops below like 38 it changes to the temp and I'll have to change it back to the speed. Especially on a day when the temp fluctuates and keeps changing it.

I *ALWAYS* use the digital speed gauge..its so convient for me in terms of shifting or going from a stop to know that I still have momentum without needing to clutch in. However, I feel like maybe this is a bad habbit to rely on the digi gauge.

same here, because it's easier to see "**** I am doing 82, I should slow down" than "I'm somewhere around 80" at a quick glance. I will be upset if I have to lose it for my boost / etc gauges.
I don't know about everyone else here, but there is something different about seeing 130 read out on a digital speedometer vs. the analog. You see the analog speedometer needle up high in the ranges, and it doesn't phase me much, but then I glance at the computer read out, and for some reason, the clear depiction of how fast I am going really hits home.

next time you get in your car, floor it in a low gear and watch how much the digi lags. Or, slam the brakes real hard and youll see it lag, you can be stopped and itll still be dropping from 12mph or so.
yeah, i check it when my radar goes off, but other than that i use the analog unless im going really fast, 100+. Its good to have two readings.
I mainly use the analog speedo in town and the digital speedo out on the open road. But then again, what I have displayed on the digital gauge (usually it's the temperature) usually depends on what I'm doing or what mood I'm in. For instance, if I'm getting ready to gas up, I'll switch to the average mpg mode, just to see how it compares with the mileage that I calculate. Thus far it's been pretty accurate, assuming that I reset the average mpg once I've refilled.
