To Get A Manual 350z Or To NOT!!!
Guys, some of you probably know that I'm in the market to get a Z. Now there have been a lot of thoughts about the car. Some of you say get a Manual Z some say get the Auto since it has the Tip tronic option. Now I know that a manual car is fun BUT lets only focus on the Z's Manual factor. I've been reading and a lot of you are not happy with your cluthes for some reason. Also keep in mind that I'm a newb when it comes to manual and this car will be the car that I will be learning it on. So with that, do you still suggest that I go with Manual or go with Automatic for this particular car. Why or why not?

Manual hands down....Z was my first stick car and haven't regreted it yet. Shouldn't be too hard to learn on...just takes a little practice. You'll be thankful you chose it in the long run.

manual is fun... i chose AT cause its more convenient.. too much traffic here in LA.. im too lazy... AT transmission can be just as good as MT.. and i like to keep a hand free
all in all.. its all your choice. sacrafice a lil fun for easiness, or fun fun fun traffic pain fun fun fun
another thing is.. if you ever plan on FI, prob stick to MT..

All depends on where and how you drive.
-Auto If you commute and have a lot of stop and go traffic
-Manual if you enjoy "driving" your car
HP gains can be made whatever choice you make I feel. It's mostly how involved do you want to be in driving.
Myself I had a manual car previously and just got tired of being so involved driving because of the traffic around here. With the auto' manual modes it's nice and I can be involved when I choose.

i've owned a 91 Mustang GT, 92 Z32 TT, and a 98 SS Camaro. All were automatics. I've never had as much fun driving a car until I got my manual Z. When I get bored, I go drive my Z now. Never had that urge with any of my other cars. Manual if you wanna drive your car, automatic if you want ride in it.
