Black shows chips the least (on the bumper anyways) because the primer underneath is black as well.

I only have a few little digs here and there on the front bumper and they are not that visable on the PPW.

I think that was in CA. The drive is about 6 1/2 hours to Chandler, that's including traffic jams and slow cars due to the weather. I've done the drive about 12+ times though, it usually averages around 6 hours.

oh and i also leave from the beach and end up in SE chandler which is like in the middle of nowhere so it might be shorter for you
Thanks, hopefully I'll have a clear bra or front cover before I go in April. Other than rock chips I am worried about my front bumper being sand blasted in the desert.

anyone have pictures of their Z with the rock chips? I want to see how bad it can get. I have a body kit on my current car and the rock chips are BAD... it looks like a black car with white polka dots on the front bumper now. Well my friend said after i buy the Z, i should get the clear bra before anything else, but i am a little confused of what the clear bra protects. Will it protect the whole front bumper or just parts of it?

Depends on what you want them to clear bra. Most clear bra installers will cover the WHOLE front bumper, about half the front hood, the edge of the roof, and both sideview mirrors. You can request any part of your car; people have clear bra elsewhere as well.

The chips don't show up that bad on my LeMans Sunset compared to my old PPW. I have 7900 miles on my '06, and a lot of small chips, but I only really notice them when I'm washing the car.

Anyone have one of these??? I got this after the first day of driving:

Its located right about here:

Its almost like a little divot from a stone or something. No chipped paint, but a little indentation about the size of the tip of a pencil. No tailgating either, I was making sure to keep a pretty good distance from the vehicles in front of me. Oh well, atleast the first imperfection is out of the way.

Nissan paint is extremely soft. If you live in a busy city or drive around after an ice storm your f'd. Here in Dallas there are a lot of trucks hauling construction stuff and debris just falls off and then chips away. I plan on respraying my ish after I get my front lip added. Plus I am making sure they add some heavy clear coat to help thwart any new chips. NISSAN PAINT is very soft/ghey.

are you sure that's not for the front license plate? there should be an identical divot on the right side as well. all Z's come with them and it sure beats having to drill holes in them and putting a plate there.

+1 That looks like where the dealership is suppose to drill for the plate.

there are no dimples from the factory for plates

i doubt it. thats too far from the center unless he has really long plates. also
that ding has paint in it not chipped off like a rock at high speed

probably someone did that with there car in a park lot somewhere
