Thumbs up weighed my 06 enthusiast...

doing a corner balance, i had my 06 enthusiast weighed.

weight savings mods include:
bullet ti exhaust
tilton clutch/flywheel
crawford headers
bullet y-pipe
recaro pole-position
Volk 18" wheel
"Personal" steering wheel and hub

This is with 1/4 tank of gas, and removal of spare tire, trunk mats, tools, etc.

Final weight: 3139lbs

yeah, took lots of weight out in the rear by changing exhaust and removing trunk items...

Another fact that the 350Z under steers. And for some reason members keep putting wider and wider tires on the rear. Hell the wide tires belong on the front.

hmm.. relocate battery to the back, take out plastic panels in engine bay, test pipes, headers (dont really know the weight of aftermarket ones).. can't think of anything else.

If you can findem, get carbon fiber front qtr panels. That should even it some more.

or just run a full tank of gas = +15 gallons...
but it still wont make it 50/50...
dry carbon panels r hell expensive...
regular 'c/f' are just as heavy if not more than stock aluminium parts...
maybe removal of a/c, stereo, etc etc?

you need to evenly shave weight off of the Z due to its design characteristics of being not quite 50/50. Being 50/50 is actually detrimental to track racing. The Z was designed to balance weight during acceleration/deceleration and turn-in, thus equating to a more balanced ride.

I'm sure there are a few more, but here is a small list for you

-CF or lighter FG front bumper
-CF hood
-CF fenders
-CF side mirrors
-CF headlight buckets
-Race Battery
-Drill holes in bumper reinforcement
-CF doors and remove glass
-Remove all airbags
-Lexan front windshield
-Remove all engine plastics
-Remove Water reservoir for squirters
-Titanium strut bar
-Lighter flywheel/clutch
-Test Pipes
-Headers
-Remove Windshield wipers
-Aftermarket seats
-Remove radio or replace OEM with aftermarket head unit
-Remove speakers

Yeah, maybe you should leave in the spare because you took so much off the rear already. Kei office used a usdm rear bumper (heavier) on their trueno because he wanted more oversteer. Most people get jdm bumpers and never go back, where as Kei actually goes back and forth depending on setup preference.

Since you have rear rotors/calipers and an e-brake, I'd recommend removing those heavy rotors/calipers from up front.

haha, I notice posts like this all the time thinking, omg did you not even read the post? READ ENTIRE POSTS PEOPLE. So what did it weigh stock?

Thats a pretty good weight savings, I have a base(3188lbs factory claim), now I did remove all the tools and spare from the back, but added some big wide rims/tires to the rear so I probably broke even there, or shaved a lb or two, but realistically if I was to do all his mods I could be under 3000lbs? drilling holes and removing plastic up front could shave how much weight off? I couldnt imagine more then 10lbs...am i wrong?

Also, is the battery causing the 30 lb difference from left to right?

I don't see where YOUR weight is subtracted form the corner weight %. Did you corner balance with or without you in the car? If you had it balanced without the equivalent of your weight in the drivers seat, the #'s don't mean much.

F/R distribution isn't as important as R/L distribution, and for R/L hes almost perfect.

that was done before i sat in the driver's seat. we fine tuned things to get as close to 50/50 (L/R) as possibe but i didn't print screen afterward.

my rear camber was horribly off so once i get some rear adjustable camber arms and a lighter battery, i'll be doing a more thorough corner balance. This was just to see where things stand, a base to start with if you will.

Definately more to come in the future...
