This doesn't make any sense. 50/50 is ideal. If you have 57/43 under braking you'll have 75/25 (est) and push off the track.

I can't understand why people think that heavy is good in the front. There's more to handling than just weight, but 50/50 is ideal and not so you feel it turns in better under braking and more weight being thrown up front.

BeyJer, I see your cross weight is 50%. Not going to get much better than that! For those that don't know, Left/Right or Front/Rear equality is not as important as RF/LR & LF/RR are equal.

removing all the weight out of the back, increases the weight ratio to the front and upsets the handling

I weighed my mostly stock '03 Enthusiast a few years ago with me in the car after a track session, and only got 49.88%/50.12% cross weights. But that was before my Unitech/Truechoice/Koni coilovers.......

Just get properly setup sway bars and coilovers and the understeer vanishes....it's awesome.

DING DING DING Mr. Q wins the million dollar prize!

It all lies in the suspension. You can only do so much with weight distribution before you have to add ballast weight, which is counter-productive to the weight shaving process. Weight TRANSFER is more important.
